A company to bring innovative technology to the food chain from other industries has been set up by two widely experienced entrepreneurs in the global poultry business.

Food Chain Innovation Ltd is a joint venture between Jim Johnston, formerly managing director of Grampian Country Food Group’s poultry business in the UK and previously a director of Rainbow Chicken in South Africa, and Allan Meldrum who has worked in the poultry industry for 40 years latterly with Intervet and Cobb in Europe and South Africa.

Sudan Poultry Expo , 6th Session  , 22nd - 25th  February 2011, at Khartoum International Fair Ground is on schedule .

The expansion in the Cobb research program is forging ahead in North America and Europe where new appointments strengthen the company team developing products for the future. 

Dr Mark Cooper has been promoted to director of genetics responsible for directing the US and European pedigree genetic teams.  

“Mark’s experience as a pedigree farm geneticist and as director of European research and development genetics makes him uniquely qualified to lead our program,” says Mitch Abrahamsen, R & D vice president.  “This will help ensure that Cobb continues to set the standard for genetic progress and performance for the global broiler breeder industry.”
