خضعت احدى معارفي لعملية تصغير الامعاء By-Pass وقد حالفها الحظ لعدم حصول اشتراكات خطيرة – كما يحدث في الكثير من الاحيان – وبعد مرور حوالي اربعة اشهر نقص وزنها اكثر من 15 كلغ فترهل جسمها وتمدد جلدها مما حملها الى الخضوع لعملية جراحية اخرى لشد جلد البطن.. لكن نظرا” لضعف جسمها ونقصان الكثير من المواد الغذائية الضرورية نتيجة قلة امتصاص الامعاء. عانت من مضاعفات خطيرة اثناء العملية أودت بحياتها. |

One of my acquaintances had a gastric bypass surgery in which part of the stomach and small intestine are bypassed thereby making the stomach smaller and sidestepping part of the small intestine. She was lucky not to have post surgical complications- as it happens in a lot of cases- and lost 15 Kg after four months. As a consequence of weight loss, her skin got saggy; she went under the knife again to remove the extra flabby skin from her tummy area. Her body was weak due to nutritional deficiencies - resulting from bypassing part of the intestine where a major part of nutrient absorption occurs - and she suffered from major complications during the operation that led to her death.

The shoes of the famous Iraqi journalist Montather Al-Zabdi could be now the higher priced shoes and maybe the higher placed ones… Shoes are always supposed to stay at the level of the ground and below the feet and not flying over the heads…
If we want to collect what was written about this topic in newspapers and on the internet, it would consume millions of gigabytes to contain it. Though, I don’t intend to re-explain or interpret what I cannot construe but I will rather ask the many unanswered questions about the incident and its aftermath…

غريب امر هذا الكلب ما كان سرّ غضبه يا ترى؟
هل علم بأنّ اقامته في البيت الابيض قد شارفت على نهايتها؟
هل شعر بأنّ اكثريّة العالم تطالب يالتغيير؟

Even President Bush’s dog “Barney” couldn’t hold back its anger from reporters and journalists.
According to Politico’s journal website, it bit the finger of Reuters’ White House correspondent, John Decker.
It is shocking; why was Barney that angry?
Did Barney sense that its days at the White House are numbered?
Did it feel that most of the world wants change?
Did it feel that the world was revolutionized against his master’s policies?
And did it feel that the media is to be blamed for everything so it directed all of its fury towards this poor reporter?

فقاطعته قائلة: وما همّي انا من افلاس المصارف؟فأنا لست من الأثرياء وكل ما املكه في هذه المصارف يكفي بالكاد لقوتنا اليومي…

During one of the social occasions, a friend of mine- a prominent business man- asked me: why don’t you write about the economic tribulations which would interest all people?
The world is currently going through the severest economic breakdown known in history. Huge banks bankrupted or at the verge of bankruptcy; hundred billions of dollars aren’t enough to stop this Tsunamical collapse…
I interrupted him by saying:

زحمة السير وباء ينشر في كبريات المدن العالمية ولم يكشف حتى الآن أي علاج شاف له…
جسور تبنى وطرقات اصبحت ترتفع فوق طرقات اخرى ورادارات وكاميرات مراقبة ومحطات اذاعية متخصصة لاخبار حالة الطرق وشرطة سير عالقة في زحمة السير تصم الآذان بصفيرها…
وما من احد يتحرك.
